My Unmasked Bio
I'm Natalie, a Los Angeles-based psychotherapist, artist, and writer. After working in animation and film, I felt a deeper calling to help others process their stories, which led me to become a therapist. As a former military kid and creative soul with AuDHD, I understand the power of imagination to bring clarity and direction to our personal narratives.
In that world, everything is about the subtext—what is happening beneath the surface, between the frames, and in the unspoken rhythm of a story. I realized that human healing works the same way. We aren't just symptoms; we are complex narratives that sometimes get "stuck."
My background in film allows me to visualize healing. I don’t just hear your words; I see the architecture of your internal world. I see where the "shame scripts" were written and where the "frames" of your life got frozen by trauma.
My diverse heritage (Ukrainian, Chinese-Taiwanese, Armenian, Mexican) allows me to connect deeply with clients from various backgrounds, offering culturally sensitive support.
OUTSIDE OF BEING A THERAPIST
In my spare time you can find me scaling peaks in the Los Angeles National Forest, attending concerts, soaring in the air on aerial silks, or reading fantasy, mythology or classic folklore. I love expressing myself through playing piano, writing, drawing and painting, and even dabbling in creating cartoons. I am an author of a children’s book, “Scooter,” and am currently working on a hybrid graphic novel.
